years ago sent in about adding active hours - my wife sits for 6+ hours then does an hour of steps to catch up. Understand it is better to walk small amounts more frequently. The app is set up for specific hours to remind us to get and move. Problem is they are during business hours (my 14 are 7am to 8pm). I miss some of those hours due to driving and meetings, but usually do them 5/6 am and 9/10pm.
Is there a way to keep the alerts during our busy business hours for reminder, but also give us credit for total hours with 250+steps ... some times I get 16+, but miss an hour during the recognized timeframe. Thanks, bcp

Hi @bcperry15 — meanwhile how are you doing on getting your 8 hours of sleep given that you are making up steps starting at 5 am and ending at 10 pm 😉
Just kidding. I don’t see any way in the app to set up the hourly reminders outside the choices to set up reminders for 5-14 consecutive hours. You can pick just some days, if, for example, you only feel the need for reminders on, say, work days.
From my perspective, I don’t feel any healthier when I get all 11 hours (that’s all I’ve set), than when I get 6 or 7. Like you, I often get steps outside the range of the reminders that ‘don’t count.’ But the way I look at it, the purpose of this metric is not to rack up lots hours with 250 steps in them, but to make sure I get out of the chair during the times of the day when I tend to sit too much i.e, when I’m at my desk, or on some electronic device for long periods. I don’t need the reminder early or late in the day where I tend to get steps anyway because I’m bike commuting, or walking the dog.

Hello @bcperry15 thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. It's nice to see you too @Baltoscott, thanks for all your help.
@bcperry15 I understand where you're coming from and indeed, sometimes the hourly activity gets measured while we're at work and even when we walk 250+ steps they do not count as the hour might have finished.
At this moment, I would like to encourage you to submit your insight as a suggested idea, where members of the Community can comment and vote for it so it can be implemented in the future.
Feel free to share your suggestion with your friends and family to add more votes and comments, this is the best way to make your voice heard and get the attention from our development team.
Thanks for your participation in the Forums, if there's anything else we can do, please let us know.

thanks - posted. appreciate your help and support - hope they can give credit for active hours before and after their posted timeframes. Missed 4pm on Thursday, at a funeral, but got 9 and 10pm, no credit.

@bcperry15 hey there. I know you already have your replies and I know where you are coming from, but I think overall fitness is more than steps. Not to discourage or pot stir, but even if you "miss" credit for the steps or the steps themselves, there are other things you can do that count towards overall well being. I find that deep breathing and light stretching during conference calls is not only health good- but I tend to stay more calm when the villages lose their... you know where I am going. Have a great summer and enjoy stepping.
