Activities not logged this time

ANSWERED

I am very new to my Charge HR (3 days old!!!) and still finding my way around it. However, a couple of days ago I did an aerobic workout and use the start/stop button to record it for logging which was fine.  Yesterday I did another workout which was automatically logged as an activity even though I hadn't done the business with the button.  Similarly the Charge automatically picked up and logged the walk I undertook.  However, today I have done the same aerobic workout as 2 days ago and it hasn't logged it.  Can anyone advise please as to why it does it sometimes and not others.  Thanks

Short answer: the technology isn't perfect. Longer answer, Fitbit uses a lot of math behind the scenes to figure out what you're up to. The one area you have some control over is the time setting for auto-detect. Go to your Charge HR settings and set the SmartTrack auto-detect for the activities you engage in at 10 minutes instead of the default 15, and it may do a better job of picking up those activities automatically. You can also disable auto-detection for those activities that aren't part of your plan.
