Activities question

Does adding your activities actually change your data  - like calories etc.? I just got my fitbit and am still trying to figure things out.

Yes. If you put in a distance for example, your distance will increase. If you put in an activity that burned a lot of calories in a short amount of time, you will see an increase in your active minutes. If you have a heart rate monitor, that could be useful. I use my heart rate monitor during workouts and log the activity. The heart rate monitor means I get a calorie count.
