Advice for people with disabilities?

Hi all!! I'm a new FB Charge user as of this past Monday. I know my question is most likely a common sense questions, but I would like to know if there are any FB Charge uses out that have disabilites that could offer any kind of suggestions as to how to get the most from the device? I have a hard time being active, I have cut out a ton of my calories, stopped drinking soda and only drink water and coffee and I have a horrible sleep pattern as I have found out this week. One of the things I suffer from is chronic pain. Any advice is greatly accpeted! Woman Happy Thanks!

Welcome to the forums @Mushy71

I moved your post to the Get Moving forum area to get more people to see it.

Quite a few people with disabilities on the forums and I'm sure they can offer you some insight into how they use their devices.

Hi. I have mild CP. I have a Nordictrack treadmill at home that I use with my Alta in a clip or necklace. The NuStep is a great recumbent eliptical with moving adjustable handles usually found in PT centers (fell in love with it). My local YMCA has them but I am not a member. I walk around the house in circles with my crutches (I don't have the best balance).

Congrats on your efforts to improve your health! As far as disabilities go, each person is a little different. It may take some trial and error to find out what works for you. Don't be afraid to try different kinds of movements until you find a good match. A good place to start is the step counting. Just try to walk a few more steps each day than the previous day. They add up. I feel you about the sleep. Mine could use some improving also, and getting better sleep will really help support your body. Best of luck, Dave.
