Wondering if anyone has advice on where to buy affordable workout clothes that will last? Student budget makes it difficult to stretch to the brands, but I've had the see-through gym leggings issue too many times!

Kohl's or Target is where I get mine.
I have never bought the brand names. Why spend a lot of money to to sweat in something?

The most reasonably priced workout gear in our area is at the closeout stores, such a Marshalls, TJ-Maxx, or Sierra Trading Post.

Hi there! I buy mostly in costco (yoga pants and capris are really good) and Walmart. My running shoes are from running room store. I prefer Asics GT. Only for shoes I get the branded one. I tried few other and ended up with some injury. So for shoes, no matter what, I do not change the brand/model. But usually I watch out for sale. I don't know where you are from. But if you are in Canada, you can try in these stores.
Thanks

Does amazon count? I have bought some workout clothes from there. Have also bought several running/walking shoes from amazon as well.

Depends on what's affordable for you. 🙂
I am using these Seamless tights and I feel they paid for themselves 🙂

Also, I recommend Amazon. Mostly due to their review system as you may find out a lot about the product before you buy. I got kettlebells, dumbells, stationary bike and some other minor equipment ( I don't keep lots of that as I prefer gym but it's good to have a backup 😉 ). I didn't spend lots of money and none of my equipment is known brands. That's the last thing I care. The product matters, not the brand.

I buy all of my gym kit when a sale is on. Theres usually a good online sale somewhere! Have you ever tried buying anything second hand? Have a look on Depop, people usually sell good things on there that have only ever been worn once

I'd shy away from used workout gear. I wouldn't wish my nasty stuff on anyone.
But seriously, I tend to hit Wal-Mart and Target for workout gear. It's cheap, it gets beat to hell and back, so it needs replaced all the time.
