Hi there! My name is Esra (username: hummussalad) and I've been using this app for years now but never had many friends that used it, most seem to be using other brands or don't feel like connecting due to privacy. So it would be lovely to find a few friends for accountability and support here?

 

About me: I gained a lot of weight during lockdown and because of emotional eating and would love to lose it back, I'm currently even doing so, but veery slowly and not linear! I'm 32 year old, live in Switzerland but am ethnically Turkish. I work an office job during the day and have no kids.  

 

Just a heads up: I'm Muslim and wear a headscarf, so if you have a problem with that, you can just ignore this. I also speak Turkish, German/Swiss-German and French.

 

So far, adding friends didn't seem to work for me here due to technical issues/figuring this out, so maybe this might be my chance?

Hi there Joanne, lovely to meet you! What is your username? I found out that one has to have a username in the app. There, my username is hummussalad without capital H, maybe it works when you put the username like that in the searchbar?  

 

https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1294.htm You can find out here how to set your own username, maybe that way I could try to look up you? It's a hassle and so far it only worked with one person:( Hope it works and we can connect!

Hello @Jojolive 

you can only read how to get your username setup using the article and am sure you can’t add someone if you don’t set your username 

Apparently you don’t have any username before, maybe you need to set your username in the app as well? Look here: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1294.htm

Follow the step on how to setup your username from this article in the Fitbit app and make sure the green mark is on your username so people can add you
