Any Boxers/Mixed Martial Artists?

Looking to start or joing boxing/kickboxing type challenges.  I just got my fitbit charge hr, did 5 rounds (20 mins) on the heavy bag yesterday and reached around 4k steps in that 20 mins.  Since this can vary, and is a completely different workout than walking/running, i wanted to see what other peoples count is during their rounds.  Let me know and let's set something up.

I'd also be curious if anyone has worn theirs while rolling/grappling.  I can see it getting in the way, but I'm wondering what the numbers look like - steps and calories burned.

i train (boxing and karate mostly, sometimes we grapple for fun after formal training), but i never use fitbit for that. i use a strap-on HRM.

fitbit is mostly useless for martial arts training. apart from it not counting a lot of things (kicks, footwork, position control, ground work, etc.), you'll have to take it off during sparring anyway - a strap on HRM is useless on sparring days too actually.

come to think of it, i never experimented with fitbit dring training ... i mostly just take it off. as for the HRM, i think it burns around 700 calories an hour in karate and 800 something in boxing. i am 5'7 and 163 lbs
