Cadence

The registration of cadence during running, measuring the number of steps/minute would be a useful feature to improve both style and pace. Of course with a display on dashboard and a target.

Agreed; a graph showing cadence through a run, similar to the heart rate and pace graphs, would be awesome.  That said, over the last 19+ months I've had my Fitbit I've logged several hundred runs and I have yet to find a single run where my average cadence was below 158 or above 167.
