What Fitbit do you have? How long have you been using it? What is the resting heart rate it has been giving you since you’ve had it? Have you been mostly sedentary for a long time / are you new to exercise?

The original Charge did not feature HR, so you either have the Charge HR (older model) or the Charge 2 (newer model). Since you got it very recently, chances are it’s the newer Charge 2. If so, what cardio fitness score does it give you? Your resting HR is within the normal range. If you’re seriously out of shape, this would show in the cardio fitness score (the Charge 2 is the only model that has this feature, hence my original question). That your HR is 10-20 beats higher than your resting HR when awake and sitting isn’t really abnormal.

@Teemoney although I don't disagree with Dominique and there is so much more data that someone would need to tell you if your HR is too high- the best person to do that is your MD. If you have a concern you should voice it to someone who has resources to do further tests if needed or experience to say you are just fine. Bring your fitbit data with you so they can use it for their analysis. If you are not worried and merely asking as a comparison.. I am 46/F and when I am not sick with a cold, my resting HR is 48. I have had a cold for two weeks now and it has increased to 53. The highest it goes (when I am full out running) is around 150. These readings have been conistent between my Charge HR and my Charge 2. This data has been collected since July of 2015.
