Calorie reevaluation

How come my app is telling me im only burning less than 2k calories a day when i have most definitely burning around 2.5k a day this year? This new update has lowered my daily calories burned hy almost 400? Has there been a re-evaluation??

@Dimi6208   You didn't mention what model Fitbit you use and if you are referring to a device firmware update or an app update.  I can tell you that the Sense 2, Versa 4, Charge 6, and Inspire 3 got a firmware update that has a new heart rate algorithm.  Fitbit/Google says it is more accurate during exercise.  Calorie burn is heart rate based.  This might be the reason your calorie burn is loser.

Hi @Dimi6208, There are other factors beside exercise that go into your daily calorie burn. First, make sure you are comparing a full day to a full day. If you checked right after the run on the 2000 calorie day, you would have only been looking at daily calories up to that point in the day. Also check to see that your weight is correct in the app. If for some reason the weight shown in the app on the low calorie day is less than on your typical burn on a run day, that would affect the calorie total for the day.
