I just got my fitbit charge2 and i use my iphone health app too. why is it if i put identical info into both apps the calories i have left to eat are way off. my health app says i have 470 calories left and my fitbit says i have 185 left. why the difference.

I notice the same thing. What I've found out is that with other fitness apps they will have a set calorie intake amount per day but Fitbit will adjust how many calories you should have per day based on your activity. I might have 200 something calories left according to MyFitnessPal but be slightly over according to Fitbit because I wasn't very active today.

You may want to have a look at Fitbit’s Food Plan Demystified, a series of four posts that explains in details how the plan works.
