This summer I'm doing a lot of construction inspection on public works projects. This has drastically increased my steps. I used to consider 8000 a good day. Now I typically exceed 10,000 without trying.
I've also noticed that many of the contractors I work with also wear Fitbits. I've had some fun conversations comparing notes with these guys about how many steps we can get doing different types of work (my max was 30,000 during a paving job; the least was 8,000 inspecting a side sewer installation).
So, on to my point, I'd like to connect with more construction workers that wear Fitbit. I'd like to see updates about how many steps you got and - most importantly - what you did with them.
