Hello. I have been running recently hoping to lose some pounds, but today I'd like to try out crossfit for a change. I want to gain more muscles in order to tighten my skin..
Anyway.. Does anyone have a crossfit program for a beginner like me? I was looking for a program that includes pushups, situps and core-exercises... I do struggle with hangups so maybe an alternative exercise for my back..
Any suggestions are welcome

I am a 67 y/o who last year was able to enjoy Crossfit. My experience with Crossfit & also with my son who has had 2 back surgeries is that any club addresses your personal challenges and serves as a watch dog for your safety and protection. They are almost like personal trainers with their expertise and attention, which obviously should include you knowing your own limitations. I believe they are incredible places to begin/participate in a wellness program. I will begin again with my group soon having had a total knee reconstruction, but have no doubts about being safe with their program and my knowledge of what I can and cannot do.

@erkz Since I didn't pass my EMT training test, I have been obsessed with checking out Crossfit, plenty of their workouts are similar to the requirements for EMTs.
I am sure @PaleoCrossfit may have some tips for newbies like us, right?

i think crossfit is just another name for HIIT. having said that, after a long hiatus, i tried to do these exercises:
-jumping jacks
-sit ups
-push-ups (do the knees version if you have to)
-crunches
-standing dumbbell rows (15 lbs weight, or you could go with dips)
-jog 3 flights of stairs (or just do knee highs or mountain climbers)
30 seconds each, 10 second rest per exercise and 2 minute rest per set, for 5 sets.
i was so out of shape, my lips were a different color after that and i threw up all over the sink (it sent my family into a panic) ... so, if you can complete that, congrats! if you are obese or in the boundary of being overweight and obese, perhaps 3 sets is good enough.

I'll try to incorporate this into a workout day @reuel! Thank you for this information.
Sorry to hear your family was scared for the aftermath of your workout, but hey! The first time is always the toughest.
Hope to see you around the forums!
