Daily goals reset back to zero

Hi - I have a Fitbit Versa 2 and iPhone X.  For the first time, over the past several days, the Fitbit has been resetting my goals for steps, distance, calories burned, floors climbed to ZERO.  In the app, I go to the Gear icon, and have reset them back to my usual goals.  But each time I log back in, they are back to ZERO.  I have deleted the app, restarted my phone, downloaded the app again, but it still resets these four goals to ZERO.  I phoned into Fitbit but the person could not help me.  I tried logging onto the Fitbit website but I do not see where I can re-set the goals under Settings.  Any advice?

Hi @PJT007, I totally understand how you feel about the daily stats issue since they revert back to zero. I noticed that the Support contact via phone experienced issues and it got disconnected.

Since the issue persists, please contact our Support team again with the reference number they provided and they'll be happy to follow up and assist you accordingly.

See you around.

Hi JuanJoFitbit - Thanks for your reply.  The support team did not give me a reference number when I phoned in.  I see that you changed my Subject Line to - "Fitbit not syncing daily stats".  That is not the problem.  The problem is that my daily goals for steps, distance, calories burned, and floors climbed get re-set to zero every time I log in.  I set my daily goal for steps at 10,000 per day.  It re-sets to zero.  I set my daily goal for distance at 6.5 km.  It re-sets to zero.  I set my daily goal for calories burned at 2,300.  It re-sets to zero.  I set my daily goal for floors climbed at 10.  It re-sets to zero.  Could you please help me with this issue?

Hi, @PJT007. I really apologize for the misunderstanding. Since the daily goals are still resetting to zero, please try logging out of the Fitbit app, restart your phone, open the app and log in.

After this, sync your Fitbit device and see if the issue gets fixed.

Hope this helps.

Hi JuanJoFitbit - thanks very much for your reply.  I tried numerous times logging out of the Fitbit app, restarting my phone, opening the app and logging in again before contacting Fitbit.  I just tried again.  That method simply does not help.  My daily goals for steps, distance, calories burned, and floors climbed continue to re-set to zero every time I log in.  I have tried deleting the Versa 2 as the device on the app, deleting the Fitbit app from my phone, restarting my phone, adding the app again, opening up Fitbit, and re-pairing and syncing the Versa 2.  Even that does not work! What else can I try?  Thanks in advance.

I have been having the same problem for a couple of weeks and I have a Charge 4. What's odd is the Calories goal stays while the others reset to 0. I have tried the off/on/syncing, etc. and nothing works. Let me know if you find a resolution. Thanks!

Thanks for your reply! I’m still waiting to hear back from FitBit. Nothing works on my end. The four key categories - goal for steps, calories, floors and distance all re-set to ZERO every time I log in.

This exact thing keeps happening to me too! This is just a wild guess. My Fitbit is 7 years old. I wonder if they have a ‘lifespan’ and no longer work after a certain period? Prompting us to buy a new one?!
