Distance while running in place

Hey everyone, I have a charge 2 and am trying to get back into running and get my cardio fitness score up. I have a four year old so going out on a run wouldn't really work. I ran in place a few days ago, according to my Fitbit I ran 1 mile in 11 minutes and my score went up by 2 points. Today I ran for 10 minutes but my Fitbit says I only ran .16 miles and my score didn't change at all. Anyone know why there's such a big difference?

@Alisamamos, the only thing I can offer is that the counting of steps, and the resulting calculation of distance, is totally dependent upon your arm movement while walking or running.  A lack of adequate arm movement will result in reduced steps being counted.

Thanks for your reply, I just checked the step count for each run and there was only about a 200 step difference between them.
