Does Changing Fitbit device end step streak?

ANSWERED

I have a Charge 2 and have just purchased a Versa 3. I am about to change everything over to the new device but suddenly fear that I will lose my step streak which has been so instrumental to me getting my daily step target everyday, getting the dog walked and weight loss. I am currently on 450 days and would be devastated if something like changing up my Fitbit ends it.  Does anyone know? TIA.

Hi @P0mpey  your account is what has the streak going, not the individual device. 450 days is awesome! The streak follows the account, so you're safe.

OK thanks! That is what I hoped but I suddenly got scared when hubby was about to make the change and wouldn't let him continue. I get great satisfaction seeing that number go up and with new goals. I know I will miss my 10,000 steps one day but would hate for the daily count to be lost in this fashion. Thanks again for putting my mind to rest......and for the praise. It has been hard but so worth it

Hello @Kayleigh3005

Switching Fitbit devices shouldn't affect your step streak as long as you are using your same Fitbit account.
