Fit Bit for disabled people

Which Fit Bit is best to use with a walker. Wearing it on my wrist does not pick up steps since I need to use the walker. Can I use one on my ankle?? or doe the clip actually work??

Can they make for people who use walkers??

Welcome to the forum. I have heard from people with walker, using a cane or crutches, that putting it on your ankle is the most reliable to count your steps. Obviously you won't get heart rate data, but that is also true if you put a pebble in a clip. I hope that helps and please report back on what works best for you.

Hi @Tamevis  I agree with what @MarciM says, but also want to add that wearing a fitbit in a clip does work well for counting steps.

 

Also, I wear a Sense and when I dance (Ballroom) I wear it on my ankle as it doesn't pick up  many steps when I dance  when it is on my arm as the arm is pretty still. Interestingly, m

ine also picks up heart rate when it is on my ankle. It probably depends on where your arteries run on your legs.
