Fitbit + Beachbody

Hey all! I'm interested in connecting with anyone else who is, or is thinking about combining walking and monitoring their step counts with a Beachbody program (Insanity, P90X, 21 Day Fix, etc.) I've been adding in extra walks during the day to help reach my steps goals and I recently started P90X3 & Shakeology to boost my fitness transformation. I started using 21 day fix two days ago. With the shakeology. Work outs are awesome so far. Im so sore. I just bought my Fitbit today. I feel way more excited to work out now with my new firbit! I hope we all do well.!!!! Im not a huge huge fan of the work out dvds. never have been. But ive been trying to find a good treadmill to purchase. Anyone have any pefrence?? Im more into running. I was in track and cross country 5-years ago (in highschool). So id love to get back into the whole runnning thing in the comfort of my own home 🙂 thanks

I did one round of P90 in late Winter/early Spring. Now I'm about 60 days into P90X3. I enjoy it, but the past week has been rough on the motivation front. My wife did P90 with me and we both had amazing results, but P90X3 was too daunting for her, so I've lost my workout buddy. Always looking for additional support and motivation.

It must be summer doldrums - I've been having the same problems with motivation in terms of P90X last week and this. Of course, the early 100 degree weather has a tendency to play into that as well...

That and the holiday weekend travelling and eating and not being in a place that was conducive to jumping, lunging, lifting etc. without displacing other guests or waking small children...

So I missed my P90X3 programs for a few days and now it's hard to get back into it...luckily it was just a transitional week and was not any big workouts.

I am doing P90X myself as well (X2 and X3 just don't give the same feeling that the original gives). Also jogging few times a week, this is my recovery week and i swapped the workouts for 15km - 20km jogs every other day just for this week. Got several pairs of Nike Free Run 5.0's last night as well (since the Reebok Zigtech's 2.0, were not working for me for jogging + excuse to buy more shoes lol). 

 

 

I have Insanity as well and tried to do it (i just can't do a cardio program at home when the weather is so nice outside.) In winter time i will complete Insanity and Insanity: Asylum vol 1 and 2 + P90X2.

No thanks. I'm not doing any special foods/smoothies/supplements because I'm not looking for a quick fix. I am changing my eating one meal at a time!

Way to go! Quick fixes aren't healthy and don't last. Making smart eating
decisions and moving your body are the way to do it!

I'm a 21 day fixer, how is everyone logging their workouts? I just did cardio and didn't think to look at my already burned calories before doing my workout. Any insight would be apprecitated! I have my Supergym on my beachbody coach office that I just mark that I did it, but I would like to start getting back in the habit of logging my food and exercise on my fitbit dashboard too.

@wookietim i really like P90X, except for the fact that, if you combine with a daily run, it ends up eating up a lot of time.  Had no idea of the interplay with xbox fitness though, so I'll check it out, thanks

I like doing p90x the original. I am not interested in the shakes or anything else. I wouldnt mind an accountablity buddy as far as a supporter to do workouts by the guide each due we are suppose to.

I did the original p90x as well, though I sometimes skip plyometrics.  Love it!

My friend just ordered it. We're both going half on it. We're both out of shape and over weight... LOL p90x seems scare can't imagine p90x plus. I wish i could run 1 mile. I use to walk 5 or more miles a day but my fitbit broke and i got a diffrent brand. Which that doesn't have an option to compete. So i'm back down to around 5000 steps a day. I just got a new fitbit so i'm trying to look on the Community boards.

Working around my kids I'm setting my goal at 3 mornings a week. I'm central time. I suck at drinking water and keeping up with my calorie intake. Let's get this ball rolling though
