Hi @Kaylee1234 Welcome to the Forums and the Fitbit Community. My recommendation, would be to set a goal that is a bit of a stretch, but you can reach it. You don't want a goal that you never hit, that can cause you to become frustrated. You want to a goal you have to put in extra effort to reach, but with that effort you can reach it most days. Once that goal becomes your standard step count, increase the goal. We all need positive reinforcement and seeing those goals completed at the end of the day is a wonderful thing.
Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle.

hey @Kaylee1234 congrats on your new buddy! I guess maybe you should see what your current activity level is and increase it from there. Becoming more fit or mobile or leaner- whatever your goal is, isn't going to happen from step count alone. You can walk around your house ten times and collect 500 steps but it doesn't really do much for your overall fitness. Yes- it is miles better than sitting so if that's how you start- excellent- but eventually you may want to look into activities that will raise your heart rate for a period of time.

Sure. Start out with a normal pace one mile walk every day. Either outside or on a treadmill. Do it for two weeks and see if you are ready for a mile and a half. Go from there.
