General usage question

So when I go for a walk I have been cutting on the walk option in my armband and cutting it on it the fit bit app. Both are not syncing up and are saying opposite thingsand then it's like it's counting it as two workouts instead of one and giving me 10,000 steps. Should I only cut on the arm band one whole I'm walking. I'm new to this so I'm not sure if I'm using it correctly. If anyone has answers is appreciate feedback. Thank you. 😊

Which Fitbit device do you have?

I'm not sure what you mean by "cutting on the walk option in my armband".  Do you mean that you are using the Exercise tile/app on your Fitbit device to start tracking your walk?

If this is what you mean, you only need to start tracking your walk on your Fitbit device. I believe you are getting extra steps since you are duplicating your walk when you start it from the Fitbit app.
