I’ve noticed that I have occasional dips in heart rate to a fair bit below my resting heart rate while awake. Now, I am always resting at these points and usually lying down. What strikes me as odd is that the heart rate usually records at 5 minute intervals so a usual graph will show the rate at say, 9:05, 9:10, 9:15 etc but when these dips happen they are almost always at an in between point not usually recorded, like 9: 17 and then the heart rate will be back up immediately. I have had a fair number of EKGs in the last few years due to a separate condition and nothing odd has been flagged. I never notice anything either. Is this anything to worry about? Why are these mid- points showing at all?

I have come here to find out this too. Pretty much every day I get 1 dip and it shows at 1.08 or 12.02 etc. they seem a bit out of the blue. I wonder if it’s an error? I remember something similar a few years ago.
