Help.

So I knew I was inactive but I didn't know it had gotten this bad. I worked in a hospital and i used to walk the steps and all over the hospital. Now I have a completely different desk job. I'm barely getting a mile a day. What are some ways I can imlement walking more? I started taking my one year old to the park on sundays but I ALWAYS forget my tracker on weekends. I know, kinda defeats the purpose huh. lol Smiley Very Happy

Wendy - thanks for the great link!  It was posted before I started using Fitbit so I missed it.  Lots of good ideas.

if you have a dog, take him or her for a walk evrey evening.

during your break, find a place to walk to a block or two from where you work, such as a dollar store or a corner shop and walk back. [feel free to get a magazine or sugar free gum, but don't succum to suger-y or fattey foods] hope this helps!

BNS,

Get up early and walk around 2-3 miles at around 2.5-3.5 mph.

Walk during lunch

Walk when you get home (shift time permitting), preferably after dinner. If you miss TV during this walk, you're better off.

Walk around during TV shows, don't be a couch or Lazyboy.  Do pushups and situps during every commercial time.

Just some of the things I do and it's worked for me in my desk job.  Lost over 130 lbs in 9 and 2/3rds months (300 to 170) doing these very things.
