Hiking

I hiked Gregory Bald south of Cades Cove . . . Put in 12 miles . . . Saw a bear and a Beautiful buck with a low tine . . . Azaleas were in peak bloom on the bald . . .  I think there's 12 acres of them scattered around . . . It was a great day . . .

I also really like to go hiking. This year we didn't go far from our home, so it was more of camping with walks in the woods than a real hike. I love going out with tents, but I realized this year that I need to replace my camping gear because many things are already pretty old. I recently bought new waist bag like here and now I need to choose new sleeping bags and an ergonomic backpack for hiking because my old backpack hurts my back so badly at the end of the day. Anyone have any idea how to choose a good backpack for hiking so that it's comfortable for the back?

That's a good idea, I have a few herniated disks in my lower back 😔, so an ergonomic backpack for hiking would be great for me too.
