Hello everyone.
22 yr old female. Overweight. (5'4 ,177lbs& losing;)
Quick question. I have the charge hr & I try not to shower in it with because I know it's not exactly water proof ( sadly).
Well I accidentally forgot to take it off and jumped in. After a few mins I realized and took it off.
I take VERYY hot showers. Well I was fine didn't feel weird, it wasn't till after I got out of the shower and put it back on and went on to my app and seen my pulse peaked to 172:/ I normally have a low pulse 50/60's.
Do you think this is accurate or could the Fitbit have overheated? If it's accurate I wasn't aware my HR jumped that high and kind of worries me.
Its only ever gotten to around 120/130 after showering.

Do you mean your HR (as measured by your Charge HR) now never goes below 120-130?! If so, the HR monitor part of it may have been affected by the hot water. How about other stats, such as steps, floors etc. Are they consistent with what you previously got?
Have you tried to restart your Fitbit?

No, my Fitbit I think is fine now. It's working and everything seems okay right now.
It's just when I looked on my app through my phone I noticed that it said my Heart Rate went up to 172 when I accidentally put it in the shower and threw it off after about a few mins.
I am just trying to figure if maybe it overheated for a minute or what because it didn't feel like my HR went up that high ?

I think you can safely ignore the weird measurements you got during the time you were under the shower. The main thing is your Fitbit is still in working condition.

I saw the post title and thought, "What did this person clip their Fitbit to if they were in the shower?"
Then I remember that a lot of models are worn on the wrist. :
