How do you create a new group in fitbit now that it is operated under Google?

So I haven't used my fitbit much in a while, but I've transferred the login over to the Google profile. However, people at work want to start a new group so we can challenge each other to daily targets, and we can't seem to get a new group created in the Community section. Any help you can provide here? Been searching for over an hour and no resources available online apparently. I can't be the only one struggling with this! Thanks!

It's awesome to read that you want to start a new group with your coworkers! It's a great way to motivate each other! 

To invite a friend to a closed group:

• Tap the "You tab" > Groups.
• Create your own private group and fill out all the required information such as group name, group rules, group description and a profile picture.
