I'm confused. I'm back walking again seriously after many months away with an injury. I am slowly increasing my mileage and speed on a treadmill but have a long way to go to reach my previous abilities. The question is I have just done roughly an hour on the treadmill slowly increasing my speed walking and then reviewed my web readout for the exercise afterwards and it looks like as my speed or heart rate reached a certain point the fit bit has registered it as two periods of exercise the first being walk and the second as Elliptical. I had noticed this prior to my injury but it's the first time I have done this since my return. It is no problem other than I like my stats to be what they should be.

Best AnswerI can't tell you why it switched activity, but you can avoid the possibility by using the exercise app instead of relying on auto-recognition, using the side button the start and stop your workout. That way you are sure to get full time of workout credited and you choose the activity type instead of relying on Fitbit to correctly recognize it.

I had to know which tracker model you are using because some models do not allow you to manually start and stop workout, only allowing auto-recognition.
It works for either Charge 2 or 3.
Treadmill is not a Fitbit. I asked which Fitbit, not which activity.
A Fitibit is Alta HR, Charge 3, Versa, ...
