I have a One so don't know about the Flex--how it feels movement will be a little different since it is worn on the wrist while my One is worn clipped to my torso. But my One does credit higher for impact activities. The tri-axis accelerometer tracks movement forward and back, side to side and up and down. I am guessing the impact may come from the up and down tracking, but it may be something else. The calorie burn/activity score is based on how much and how fast you move each minute (and maybe some other factors I suspect impact or up and down movement is one factor somehow). So depending on the movements and how well your device can sense it, I would think so. Mine does okay with high impact and hi-lo aerobics. Very low or non impact dancing it misses the steps or under credits. I use to jump rope quite a bit and my Fitbit and HRM credited them about the same in terms of calorie burn, I always had very active minutes for jumping rope if I sustained the jumping for all or most of the minute. I thought it may be the speed until I noticed there were fewer steps and a slower "average pace" in my Fitbit record compared to jogging or some of my brisk walks. I can only guess it was crediting so highly because of either the impact or the up and down movements.
