I am having trouble on days I don't work to reach my step goal. How should I get it done!

If you get up and walk for 10 minutes every 2 hours (which I find I walk about 1/2 mile in ten minutes) you will find that the steps add up. For instance if you are watching tv from 6:00 to midnight and start your 10 minutes walks at 6:00, you will walk around an extra 2 miles (4 X 1/2 mile = 2 miles). If you did this during the day at work and did it 4 times while at work you would walk another 2 miles. That would be 4 miles on top of what you normally walk. I have a small stride and get 10,000 steps in about 4 1/4 miles. So you can see that this techniqe will easily get you to 10,000 steps in a day with not so much effort.

On days you don't work -- go for a long long walk outside, you'll do well with the fresh air too!
