Hello everyone!I just got the fitbit 2 charge for Christmas, I am an avid pole dancer and I was wondering if I can wear the fit bit during my pole classes and how do I track pole dancing (calories burned etc) with my fitbit as pole dancing doesn't seem to be an option in the list of activities 🙂 I am sure this has been asked before so thank you for your help!

You could start a work out and rename it afterwards to pole dancing. That way it still shows as an activity and you can track your heart rate.

Hey friends 🙂 Curious what the best mode is to use for when I'm doing Pole Dancing or Aerial Silks/Hammock? Also..should I use elliptical for my stationary bike workouts?
Thank you,

I have just bought my fitbit today so will also be interested in how to track Pole classes.
I'm going to try doing a normal workout then naming it "Pole" as suggested above.

we aren't allowed to wear any watches or jewellery when doing silks - where do you wear your fitbit? (or do you not have the rule?)

I too would be interested in the answer to this - my first Pole Class with a Fitbit was supposed to be Tuesday but was cancelled due to the weather.
I'm expecting to have to stick it in my bra under or around my chesticles or something 😂

I do aerial silks. Recently I found a soft silicone band with a smooth "buckle" that I'm able to wear when training. I log my training as the generic workout on my charge 2. The activity settings are primarily for keeping track of what you're doing, they don't change the way your calorie burn/heart rate is measured. So far the reading seems accurate.
Hope that's helpful

I do silks too and generally have that rule. I found a smooth silicone band on amazon that has worked well for me.

This is exactly what I need, so that I can more accurately track my aerial training, since it takes up a large part of my activities. Thanks for the info!

You have 7 exercise modes that you can set up. Make One Workout. Then set up a custom exercise as to what it really is.
Use the workout mode for the exercise. Let it sync and then rename it to the custom one you set up
