Did you mean:

I gave my FitBit flex a name today--really, I did.

While out exercise walking, I sometimes get creative ideas.  Today, during my 4 mile walk, I decided to "name" my new FibBit flex, "Seabiscuit" after the great racehorse.  I saw the movie years ago, and finally got around to reading the book this summer--loved it!  Those familiar with the story, know that this was a horse who overcame the odds (including being small)  and injuries along the way, but his heart helped make him a champion.  So now, when I am out walking or jogging, I will think of "Seabiscuit", and have that much more motivation.  Has anyone else out there "named" their FitBit?

I haven't, but reading your comment has inspired me to do so.  Now I just need to come up with a fitting name for my new friend!

Awesome!  People name boats, cars, even airplanes.  Why not our fitness companion! Smiley Happy

Every time  I see it's smiling face it reminds me of a tamacochi's (that is spelled wrong), I think hey I didn't kill this little guy, so naming it would be appropriate.

Love it!  Very clever, and fun.  Brings back wonderful memories of one of my very favorite shows growing up.

Thanks.  I think you hit the nail on the head re: fun.  Fun is another way to stay motivated and I sure could use that.  So far, I find the FB very motivating, but I don't want to run out of steam.  Me and Gilligan gotta stay focused! lol
