It's not something I do but the following help file suggests you can do this if you have a Charge 2, Versa or Ionic:

Hi i'm new to the Fitbit community thing but i'll give it a try! 😄

There are lots of ways you can do interval training/runs, but your best bet is to search what it is and what you achieve from doing it on the internet.

There are plenty of Youtube videos on, well, Youtube... but I personally don't do it.

I'm guessing what I have said is just common sense to some people, but hopefully you may have in a slight way, learnt something from what i have waffled on about 😄

Best of luck ❤️

Sorry if this isn't an answer you were hoping on.

you can try some of the interval workouts that are on fitbit coach. They have a few that are not super long or intense as a way to get you started...

It's like a normal run that got the hiccups

Essentially you want to choose intervals that:give you a recuperation period and a hard sprint period - the speeds you choose will be whatever suits your fitness levels but try and increase as you get fitter.

I do a three stage one starting with a warm up:

3mins walking at 6km/hr

5mins jogging at 10km/hr

Then alternating 1min fast (15km/hr), 1min walking (6km/hr), 1min jog (10km/hr)

And repeat until you get to 30mins.

Gives you 8 fast repetitions.

Time goes much quicker than a standard 30min run although the fast intervals seem to come round quicker and last longer towards the end!

It eally does seem to elevate your heart rate better than a one-speed run and it stays faster longer at the end as well.

@Daves_Not_Here,

Great answer. Mine is it's a series of quarter-mile laps with a break between laps to drink a beer. As you probably know, beer is the best way to get carbs and liquids back into the system. It's what the ancient Egyptians used. That's why they found empties all through the inside of the pyramids.

@GershonSurge - that would explain the hiccups

@Daves_Not_Here,

It also explains why I almost got a ticket for urinating in public. Fortunately, I had some donuts to bribe the cop. Oh, I forgot. Cleverbots always end their posts with a question. What kind of beer do you prefer while doing intervals?
