Has there been any thought to adding the weather to the journal section? It could be interesting to see the correlation between mood and weather.

School teachers will tell you the weather affects children, so there is a clear link, with that group. I don't know if it is in adults, but... A good idea 🙂
On the same point of moods, Seasonal Affected Disorder (SAD), would be an easy and thing to add as our location is in the data :-)

I really like your idea! You might want to try and post it as a feature request: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Requests/idb-p/features
If you do, you'll definitely get my upvote

My moods are most definitely tied to the weather. Cloudy, gloomy days often give me headaches. Humidity also makes me feel more tired and sluggish. I prefer being warm over being cold, but sometimes find a snowstorm oddly soothing. I find a good thunderstorm to be quite invigorating. Being outside for a while generally picks me up when I'm down on sunny days or clear nights when I can see the stars.
I was talking to a local police officer I know one day, and she mentioned how the full moon affects people making them behave strangely. She made a comment about the way the moon's gravity would pull on the water in a person's body. I'm a science geek by hobby, so that got me to thinking about the ocean tides following the moon's gravitational pull. I never thought about that before, but it did make sense to me.
Anything that changes the balance and structure within the body even slightly can impact our moods and behaviors. I find myself pondering a lot of ideas like that while daydreaming.

Interesting.
Folklaw has long said the effects of the moon can affect people's moods and we all know that it controllers masses of water, because of the tides, so there maybe something in water pull and moods.
Maybe if there was the ability of a fitbit linked to your light consumption you may be able to link moods with the quality of light and the weather as you know the phases of the moon on most calendars.
Also the light reflected by snow in winter is very high and often full of UV in daylight, this is why skiing needs a high sunfactor.
This is why I did a proposal for a Seasonal-Affected-Disorder-SAD-Monitor-and-Sun-Ultra-Violet-UV system for devlopment.

My husband tells me my mood changes with the weather are in my head mostly haha. I definitely suffer from SAD in the winter. Every year...and I live in Alabama...so it's not THAT bad, yet I hate it. Any kind of cloudy day makes it a lot harder for me to be motivated on anything! Though for the most part, I supposed it is pretty much just all in my head one way or another...

I agree that weather should be added to the journal but I also think mood and energy should be separated. So mood, energy, weather and allergies could all be considered when making a journal entry.
