I was one of the first Fitbit users in India in 2013 .My journey over the past 8 years is something i wanted to share with everyone.

I am a Specialist doctor MD and most of my work involves sitting during the day

Fitbit and the community changed that completely

I became more active during the day too

The last 18 months was involved on Covid Care as it hit India very badly and though my work was very busy the Fitbit tracker now Sense KEPT ME GOING!

I also motivated many many patients to be more active since the last 8 years and many co workers and friends

The fact is that fitness is an effort with a little push from a device and will power has been my learning

The Pic attached is of yesterday as I celebrated 8 years of being a fitbitter and turned 50 as well  and visited one of the 7  Wonders  of the world-THE TAJ MAHAL.

Thank you all.

Keep on pushing yourself and enjoy the journey.

Motivate as many people as u can .

Best wishes

@Gandhi Oh my! I loved this story, thank you so much for sharing it! 🙂 Believe or not, you just made me feel empower of keeping going with a better lifestyle. Your 3 suggestions are key. I struggle so much with sweetie food and I tend to punish myself so much for that.

If you're a Fitbitter since 2013, I believe you owned the lovely Fitbit One? 😲 or even the Fitbit Ultra?

Loved your pictures, what I way to celebrate your 50's!!

Hope India is recovering from the pandemic, I know it was hit very badly. You doctor are a superhero!

Hi Everyone .

This is Dr Gandhi an Ocular Pathologist MD.

The picture was taken yesterday when I turned 50 and also finished 8 years of Fitbitting .

My learnings to weight managing have been these three points

1 Be active every day and eat what u want but in moderation

2 Dont make weight loss a burden enjoy being healthier and happier

3 Give your self small targets and treat your self with a reward once you achieve it

Keep going

That's fantastic, @Gandhi! Thank you for sharing your experience and congratulations for your birthday and for 8 years of being a Fitbitter! It's great to see that you've felt so motivated since you started using the device back in 2013 and now with the Fitbit Sense, it's been quite a journey for us all.

That's a great picture of the Taj Mahal btw! One of the many wonders India has to offer. 😀
