Just... So.... Unmotivated

I need help.  I work all day, fairly physical job.  I'm exhausted when I get home.  I'm exhausted when I wake up. I have lost 11 pounds since January but I want more.  I want to tone my body and not gasp for air every few minutes.  I am a smoker.  I know, I need to quit. That's goal #2!

Im looking for suggestions on how to break out of this slump I seem to be in.  I want to start jogging again and be super active.  I want to stop telling my husband no, when he wants to go hiking or biking.

If ur jobs pretty physical then it'll use up a fair amount of ur energy. How many hrs do you sleep at night? Are you eating the right things and enough? I had trouble motivating myself to move at first when I started exercising but then I discovered I really love boxing. I think you need to find the exercise that you enjoy then you'll want to get out of bed to do it. Maybe if your husband joins you for morning walks/jogs or try to get a friend to go with you. Company always makes it more fun and also pushes you due to the fact that you have more of an obligation to get up

You are wanting to make a lot of changes very quickly. Changes take time. What concerns me is that you feel exhausted in the morning. I think @EmjayH asks very good questions to check if you sleep and eat enough. Also it will be hard to totally change your life and then stick to it. It is easier to do it the way you are currently going about it, by making a change (goal 1) and when you can keep that up add the next change (goal 2). Whenever you are comfortable keeping up your last change you can add the next one again. This way it is not a total shock for your body at once and you quickly create a healthy lifestyle that you can keep up. Try to be a bit kind and patient with yourself.

Sleep - 8 hours

Work - 8-10 hours?

That leaves you 6 hours.

Whatever you are doing during this time needs to be evaluated and probably a good cause of why you are tired.  Random people on a web board are not going to motivate you (only you can do that).  So either get up and do something about it or stay in the same rut.
