Logging exercise

HI

I have the fitbit Alta it has recorded my steps and recorded through the weekly exercise a few walks I did automatically but hasn't logged the workout I did in the gym!  Do I need to do this manually through the app every time I start a workout?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Do you have auto recognize on for workout?

From the app, go to Exercise, select the gear icon in the upper right corner, you will see a list of auto recognized exercise. You can also manually log your workout from the exercise menu by selecting the stopwatch icon in the upper right corner.

Hope that helps!

What workout did you do in the gym?  If it's not step based and you are using a non-HR model then it won't find anything.

Hi

I do a circuit which includes cardio and weights. Don't think it's logging it and I've bought the Alta by mistake and not the Alta HR.

I switched to an HR after starting crossfit.  The normal Alta won't pick up most of what you do in a circuit.
