I'm trying to create a route using MapMyWalk. I walked around the Denton County Museum (The Square) in downtown Denton Texas about 8 times. It's .21 miles each loop. I can't figure out the "Out + Back" tool on their website. If I use it once it goes from .21 to .42 which appears correct. I click it again and it goes to .83. How can I get it to add just another .21
I can't wait for my Surge to arrive. I hope GPS means I don't have to mess with this after that.

Well, out and back isn't making a loop.
It's reversing the loop you built, to create 2 laps.
Do another out and back, and thats taking the loop and the loop backwards, and treating the whole thing as another out and back, hence the doubling again.
And that's 4 laps.
Do it again for 8 laps and you got your workout correct. This distance appears to be more exactly 0.215, and that extra doubling of it shows up that better accuracy.
You want 8 x .215 = 1.72, not the 1 mile you mentioned trying to obtain.
And no, once you do your GPS route, that won't be messed with.
Though it'll be interesting how far off each lap is despite you walking exactly the same route.
GPS has accuracy down to about 3 meters, about 10 ft, if sky is clear, so going around corners you can easily start hitting from one extreme to the other, and those distances will add up.
Especially viewed on a map later.
Especially if a ton of corners, and tight sky view for GPS accuracy.
