Hello everyone,
I get fit by using the high tempo of my favourite metal songs to either run, spin, or swim (yes I have a waterproof armband and headphones, check amazon).
So, I am looking to make friends with like minded metalheads who want to share how they are inspired or get fit with MEEEEeettttallll!!!

I love metal! I'm mostly into folk metal but depending on my mood, I listen to other stuff as well. My favorite bands for workouts are Turisas, Korpiklaani, and Tyr. And a little bit of Ensiferum.
I just went to an Alestorm concert the other day and got in quite a few steps in the mosh pit. Got a few bruises too.

@Crylo You like the good stuff! I listen to folk most of the times, the same bands you just mentioned. I saw Ensiferum and Finntroll live back in 2011, it was awesome.
I'll love to see Korpiklaani live... or Alestorm, actually, I was watching Alestorm live gigs yesterday on Youtube. Those pirates are funny and very good! They always do a wall of death while playing Captain Morgan's Revenge!

I was just linked to this thread and I'm so happy to see lots of metalheads here! I love using metal for workouts - Sabaton, Amon Amarth, and Dethklok are my faves for getting pumped up 🙂
Also love Korpiklaani and Alestorm because they're so upbeat!

@Noctilca I just listened to that Dethlok's song. Simply awesome, great punch, it encourages you to walk more in some way! Gotta love that riff! \m/
I like to listen Death when I'm walking, specifically The Sound of Perseverance album, it is so awesome, old school, and heavy. Gotta love Death!
Thanks for sharing!

I find metal perfect for workout and all in all I'm stuck with music of the power metal band from Finland "Battle Beast" - excellent when you want to keep the pace 🙂 They have some songs that one might consider as motivating 😉
