Need mileage on a specific workout

I just walked for 33 minutes with a friend. Usually I use Map my walk for mileage, but since we did it all within one building the app doesn't accurately reflect mileage.  When I stopped the workout on my fitbit Charge, it DID show the mileage of the workout to be 1.4 miles.. Yes, when I look on my phone or in the fitbit dashboard online, I can't find a way to cull out the mileage for this particular workout.  I'm doing an incentive program where I need to have something like a screenprint to prove my mileage (steps don't count).  Help please?

I’m afraid you will have to repeat your walk. Fortunately, it was only 33 minutes.

What tracker do you have: (original) Charge, Charge HR or Charge 2? Asking, since some people may have Charge 2, but just call it "Charge". Some (e.g. Charge 2) support Connected GPS (if you are carrying your phone with you), others don’t.

I have no advice for you unfortunately, but I can state that I have the same problem as you.  When I walk around the block it is fine.  I work from home so I often walk laps around my pool while I am on conference calls.  For that it will log my steps, heart rate, calorie burn, etc... but not the mileage.

You should be able to see a distance graph on your online fitbit dashboard. While you can't see the total distance for a particular workout, you CAN see the total distance for any 15 minute period during the day (see my example).  I think the default display on this widget is usually heart rate, but if you click on the symbol in the upper right corner of the widget you can change it to distance, steps, active minutes, etc.

The problem the OP is having is probably the same as I have discovered.  Your instruction to see the distance shows the distance logged.  The problem is that I can walk around my pool over and over.  When done it will show that I have 1300 steps and went .2 miles (and sometimes no distance at all.)

Similar result if I pace between my office and living room.  It will register steps, but doesn't register distance.  However if I pace from my office to living room and then to kitchen it does log it correctly.

I did further testing and if you don't leave a specific radius it logs everything, but jacks up the distance.

I'll add that I have a Charge 2 and I am on my phone when I walk.  I guess it wouldn't know I stayed within a certain radius if I unpaired it.  I'll have to try that and see.
