I found the Walkadoo site through my health insurance provider. I just joined yesterday, but it looks fun. No cost to join and it syncs with FitBit. It gives you daily challenges by encouraging you to do a little more every day. You earn points and badges by completing the challenges. Looks like it might be still in beta - not sure about that.
Here's the site: https://walkadoo.meyouhealth.com/

The phone number seems optional and I bet you could enter any zip code.

Best Answeri like the idea of syncing fitbit with walkadoo; however, my steps in Fitbit do not show up in walkadoo easily. i keep doing the sync and it says the device has been connected but the steps still don't show in walkadoo. i've also tried taking off the battery to reset it. this happens every day. perhaps there's something wrong with this fitbit zip.

walkadoo is syncing with fitbit.com. I don't know how often it does that. I know it can't sync directly to your physical device. If your zip if synced to fitbit.com, and walkadoo is not picking those numbers up, the problem is with walkadoo.
