Hello! My office is starting their own fitbit challenge. This is a great way to keep people motivated. But we also do activities monthly that we call random acts of fun. We're trying to incorporate a little more activity in our random acts of fun and thought I'd see if anyone has some great ideas to incorporate being active with some fun. I've thought maybe an obstacle course over lunch, but that's about where I'm stumped. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Lunchtime is hard, not a lot of time. I work in a historical town and it is fun to take walks through the historical district. We have a mountian less than ten minutes from our office that we get groups together to hike for lunch. Several of us work out at the same gym, and each of us is allowed one visitor. Lunch at the gym. Some gyms might allow a one time group use in hopes you will join/ Don't know til you ask. We have a stair challenge at the local university. Doing the stairs in the stadium. We once had a afternoon swim at a local pool. Contest in how many laps one could do in 30 minutes. We always walk to the resturant accross the street for lunch. It is about a mile round trip. We have a river right next to our office with a river walk. Always a goup going at ten and three for their break. Sometimes I do the lunch hour walk on the river. Problem is all the homeless are on the river walk. Scares some of our participants. Plan week end hikes and use the lunch time as a planning time. Schedule dog walks together. Lots of things to do. Thank you for responding. We have such a big group so we're trying to get things that can be fun for everyone. This month we're planning on challenging people to walk around outside our building for so many laps and earn a raffle ticket for prizes like a gift card to Subway or Target. I'm hoping this will get more people motivated to participate.

Hello guys! It's great to hear that you are finding more ways to get active every day! We also have here activities every Wednesday called WorkOut Wednesday (WOW). We can choose between several options like Zumba, Boothcamp, Insanity, Kickboxing and some others. This might be a good idea you can implement in your office. It doesn't need too much space to move around and everybody gets fun doing exercise! Good luck!
