I just raked leaves for an hour. Broke a sweat, it's hard work!
No active minutes.
I never get active minutes. My mom gets them from cutting hair! What gives???

@galaga6846The secret is a minimum of 10 consecutive minutes at 3 times or more of your BMR.. This graph of my gardening... spasmodic events....shows what is needed and you can create that graph by going into your PC Activity Log and clicking the Active Minutes Icon, the large stopwatch at the bottom. This is a copy of my data and non destructive. Occasionally we get a 9 mins included
Click the Activity Record and when data is logged click the very small stopwatch next to the description, then ensure you see Calories in the Graph.

Hi @galaga6846,
Yes, I've noticed that from your last thread. I think in order to get to the bottom of it, I'd need to see a screenshot of your heart rate chart for that day. Would you be able to post that?

Did you move for 10 consecutive minutes? I found that was throwing me off. Do you have your fitbit set for the correct wrist?

I'm curious. How would which wrist the Fitbit is worn on have an effect on active minutes? I don't see any connection.

@WavyDavey - the Fitbit has to be on the wrist of the person performing the activity. Otherwise, the calorie burn is WAY off.
Seriously, it sounds like @galaga6846 is having sync issues if activity is "never" recorded. The Fitbit is probably not communicating with the app on the phone. Time for contacting Customer Support.

did you happen to notice what your HR was at the time you were raking? I think Dave and Dave have a good point.. in order for someone here to figure it out.. a picture would help. If you are not seeing active minutes ever or other stats look off, you can restart your tracker just to be sure and if still nothing, contact support.

Here is another example of astute use of your Fitbit HR device to gain a full compliment of active minutes...Just mall shopping and elevated HR.
My RHR is 55 today and my Fatburn starts at 71 bpm, so it doesn't take much to get up into the other Zones. When I shop I don't dawdle, just beeline to where I have to go.
I was amazed myself

You just want to make sure to choose which wrist you are wearing it on. I used to wear it on non-dominate, but switched to dominate - my counts were off until I remembered to correct it on my settings.
