Peak HR

I am new to my Fitbit and wondered about "peak" heart rate. When I am at peak, does that mean I'm working too hard and need to dial it back, or is it just indicating a good workout? Thanks for your help.

Hi @starkenn,

Peak heart rate zone is a vigorous workout at 85-100% of your maximum heart rate. It's a healthy workout, and nothing to avoid.

Check out this blog post from Fitbit for more information.

Thank you. I am 64 years old and run about 3 miles, and I do zumba. I want to be sure I'm not overdoing things if my heart rate is over 170.

@starkenn  I want to be you when I am 64. If you don't feel unwell during the activity then keep doing what you are doing!
