Pear Shaped Body Type Weight Loss Tips?

So reasonably, when I tell people I'm trying to lose a little bit of weight or improve my stamina, they quistion my antics because I have an extremely skinny tummy and all my weight goes to my hips. I'm told to work it that way, but I'd rather be slimmer overall because I love to excercise frequently plus having that body shape is rather undesirable to me due to the media's portrayal. Does anyone know some stretches and excercises for pear shaped bodies in order to lose weight there?

                       Thank you!

my sister is a pear (not sure what i am, atm i'm a barrel *giggle*) anyway, back to my sister. She went from a UK 24/28 to a UK8/12, needless to say her hips are bigger than her upper body. She embraced her pear shape, that was her first step on the rung, exercise wise she went to power walking/running, always outdoor activities so she would get the natural hills and falls etc. I don't know if thats much help, but her figure is beautiful and she had lovely defined legs and a nice ass (sorry shouldnt say that about my sister, but girls notice this stuff), but she is pragmatic, she knows she will always be a pear, I guess her exercise focuses on keeping it all toned and the weight away now.

I'm definitely a pear. I've been walking a mile and a half a day at a decent pace (30 minutes) since mid May and have lost nearly 13 pounds. Combining that with a decent diet does it for me. I've done walking and no diet change before. Ditto diet change and no walking. Neither of them worked worth spit until I combined them. And I'm eating 90% of my calories, which is amazing. Yesterday I added a walk after work as well, and an extra 1/2 mile. Good luck!

When you lose weight, you tend to lose it equally over your entire body. So, my scrawny little legs have gotten scrawnier, and while my belly is smaller, I've still got it, and it's still the biggest thing on me (thankfully my chest sticks our further Woman Wink). Not so thrilled with the apple shape I have, either.

I'm so overweight I'm just losing belly fat right now. I'll get there, I'm sure, (and I don't have enough bust to lose much either 🙂 ) but am hoping that the exercise will help even things up. I'll be adding yoga in the fall, for flexibility and general toning. I think that will help too.

Macro GuideMacro GuideBody TypesBody Types

What are Macros?  They’re the three categories of nutrients you eat the most and provide you with most of your energy: protein, carbohydrates and fats.

To calculate your Macro ratios, first determine your body type.   There are 3 body types:  Ectomorph, Mesomorph and Endomorph.  See below for description of body type and macro ratios for that body type.

Ectomorph:  Skinny, Narrow frame, Has difficulty gaining weight (muscle or fat), Speedy metabolism and High carbohydrate tolerance.

Macro Ratio for Ectomorphs: 55% carbohydrates, 25% proteins, 20% fats

Mesomorph:  Mesomorphs have an athletic and muscular body, Wider shoulders & smaller waist, Gains muscle easily, Can gain fat more easily than an ectomorph and Symmetrical frame.

Macro Ratio for Mesomorphs40% carbohydrates, 30% proteins and 30% fats

EndomorphGains fat easily, Gains muscle easily, Larger frame, Has difficulty losing weight and Low carbohydrate tolerance

Macro Ratio for Endomorphs25% carbohydrates, 35% proteins and 40% fats

These are only suggestions and you will need some trial and error to determine what works best for you.
