Pls help me

I know that this is not the place to ask but I’m really lost

Hello,
So I recently switched to the new iphone 11 pro and for that reason, I had to unpair my Apple Watch series 4 from my previous iPhone X and pair it with the new one. I also had to update my watch to the newest OS.
I synced all the data regarding myself (weight, height, age, sex) However, I notice that there is a big difference in the calories that it shows that I burn when I work out.
For example, before a 40min elliptical workout was counted by my watch as approximately 230 active calories burned while now it shows only 120 active calories burned.. This is a very big difference and I am very confused and don’t know what to believe- the new or the old numbers. Please someone help me sort this out

I sure Apple has a forum that you can ask your question.

This for Fitbit Devices not an Apple watch

If I had to guess,

and it's just a guess,

I would lean towards the higher number being more accurate. For me, moderate activity appears to burn about 50 calories every 15 minutes. So working on an elliptical I would imagine that you will burn more than 50 per quarter hour.

But again, I do not know much about calorie burn. It just seems that 40 minutes of exercise should burn off more than 40 minutes of moderate activity.
