Hello all 🙂
How does my Fitbit Charge HR know what type of exercise/sport I am undertaking?
And does it start monitoring it automatically or do you need to initiate the recording prior to the exercise?
Many thanks in advance!
Dan

The Charge HR & Surge track certain activities automatically. Those can be configured on the URL: Tracker Settings Page
The minimum time is 10 minutes for how long needing to do a certain exercise before being tracked automatically, so regular shorter walks wouldn't count as exercise, but longer walks will. The time can be changed from 10 - 90 minutes before it's being recognized.. or a certain activity can be set to be 'ignored'.

My Charge HR calculated my whole day at Seaworld walking as 19 minutes of Outdoor biking! lol I just deleted and left the step counts as my excercise. It does however very accurately calculates my BodyAttack and BodyStep classes as aerobic workouts based on my heart rate.
