Did you mean:

Simply walk.

I have reached my goal weight and now working on a nice flat abdominal section.  I reached this point in two ways. First, I ate less but maintained my calorie needs. Second, I simply walked.  When I say walk I mean faster than window shopping, but less than a slow jog.  In other words, keep moving.  Every nutrition store out there will try to sell you this powder or that pill.  In reality, you have what it takes already.  Drink lots of water and keep yourself walking and moving.  Take the stairs.  Walk the long way home.   Take the dog out more.  Whatever it takes to keep moving.  Then, when you do eat watch the amount you eat.  People eat way to much.  Eat smaller amounts and more frequently but maintain your calorie needs.  Starvation diets should be avoided.   Also, join a group here on Fitbit for some interaction and competition.  It helps motivate you and keep you in line with your goals.  Just some things that helped me and I am passing those ideas to you.  Latez.

I agree.  I always ate less and did extensive active miuntes on an eliptical but the walking is what is really helping.  I walk aroun all the time.

Totally agree. Build the exercise into your daily routine, and walking is the ideal way to do it. No quick fix or magic pills needed, and it's free!

Congrats on reaching your goal weight! I agree 100% with you- people have asked me what my "secret" is to my weight loss and I say- it is no secret- I don't stop moving lol! I march in place while I unload the dishwasher, the dog must have lost a few pounds keeping up with me on power walks and the kids are always annoyed when I park in one of the furthest spots from the store's doors- but it works. I was telling someone this week that what I like is this is no tricks and short-term fixes, this is about educating myself- how much activity do I need to do to work off that piece of birthday cake- I don't deny myself the fun things- I just take smaller sizes and I know what I need to add to my activity to make it all balance. Sending my best wishes on a flat stomach- I will just be happy with less jiggle Cat Wink

So very very true....And so much simpler than I would have thought..Saw a friend at work lose 25+ pounds in 3 months. Asked her how she did it, she tracks her food on MFP and simply walks w/her fitbit. getting in her minimum every day (I think she averages 14k)  This inspired me to no end when I found out she was simply walking. I thought to myself, "Heck, I can walk til the cows come home!".. Always thought I had to run and really sweat to effectively get any results, but....I've been walking for just over a month and tracking my food here on fitbit.com and I'm down 13 lbs!!!  Yes, I do a crazy amount of steps (my average is 24+k), but it's totally doable if you stick with it and stay consistent in your tracking and simply MOVE, move whenever you can, at any/every opportunity.  I work 10 hour shifts where I cannot get up unless it's a scheduled break, so I use the T'mill on all of my breaks and I eat at my desk. I also get in a ton of steps just walking/marching in place at my desk. (I work a police/fire radio, so it's not your typical 'desk job')  I walk the trail near my house in the morning with my husband when the weather is good, but when it's not I'm on the treadmill for 90 mins before work. I do not allow any excuse to keep me from my goals. I have found many ways to make this work and am so pleased w/the results.  So surprised that I have been so motivated by this little bit of plastic on my bra strap!...It's just crazy, but it works....I've got 30+ more pounds to go, but I think I got this....Keep on stepping all of you!!! Don't give up on yourself and your goals....:)

I reached my goal weight with TOPS coming up on 3 yrs ago (June 2011) and I did basically the same thing.  Move more and eat less!  I have always been a walker.  I walked to work (about 45mins) but then I changed jobs about 18 months ago and it was to far to walk.  But I still get out there and get my 10,000 steps in every chance I can.

I have been having a difficult time of late.  I am still doing everything the same (or so I think) but I am above my goal weight and am very uncomfortable.  Every once in awhile, I come onto the fitbit discussion board to get my inspiration back.  Reading your posts, help motivate me again.  I am back down below my goal weight (I still have about 3lbs to get to "my" comfort zone) but now that the nice weather is here, I have upt my step count from 10,000 to 11,500 and have managed that for about 3 days now.  Thank you all for your continued motivation!

I am at goal too but keep very active. Get lots of steps and at least 50 flights of stairs in every day. Weight train twice a week. Eat well but healthily. I find the Fitbit community a great motivation to keep moving.
