Hi You don't want to wear your flex on your ankle as it is calibrated to the wrist. Go into Activities on your dashboard and do a search for spinning. If it isn't there, you can add it, just search out the calories burned for the duration. Hope this helps. I am new to this as well bt I will want to log my bike rides and durations on th activity page at some point. Good luck!

I believe that I read on an ealier post to attach the fitbit to your hip. I do this now when I use my cross country ski machine and it logs the "steps" or movement. I snap it onto my shorts. See if this works for you too.

I've strapped my FitBit Flex on my shoe laces or velcro straps on my cycling shoes before, that worked for spin class for me but the step count is fairly low for the amount of workout you'll get spinning, especially if you have your tension up. I use a Heart Rate Monitor as a main training aid for Spin Class and then the Fit Bit logging steps is just sort of a partial credit for my workouts for this site.

I strapped it around the strap of my tank top shirt (tight fitted), it logged close to what I did and was able to capture my heart rate.
