I was regularly losing weight by just reaching my 10,000 steps and watching my calorie intake to keep it around the 1000 calorie deficit and was losing 1-2 pounds every week for the past month (down 7 pounds, yay!). I started going to the gym about two weeks ago for more intense cardio (will add weights when I'm ready) and I've gone down to just .5 a pound a week. I'm eating more because I'm burning more but I still keep the 1000 calorie deficit. It's a little disheartening that I start doing more regular intense exercise and my weight loss is less than before... Any ideas?

I went through the same thing but no need to be alarmed. Muscle weighs more than fat so the more muscle tone you have, the less weight it appears you're losing. The real way to know you are losing is by how your clothes fit, not the scale. Hope that helps.
