does the fitbit log yoga? I entered on the log page the duration but it didn't calculate calories burned. Can anyone advise on how I can have this tracked?

Fitbit does not pick it up. But Which one did you log? I just log Birkham yoga and it added the calories burned

@Gigo Hey there! Fitbit removed some activities that people didn't use very often. However, you still have the option to log those activities by going to "Most Logged, Recent and Favorites", if any of those Yogas appear in your activity log you'll be able to do it.

Cube the number of down dogs then multiply by pi then  integrate your inside leg length over namaste.  Got that? Good then add the number you were just thinking about.      🙂    Happy New Year

Last I checked, there were five different types of yoga in the in the activity database. Try to keep your search basic--I think "yoga" should be fine to choose the most appropriate option.

I was recently given a Flex and have some difficulty with logging activities:

- I do yoga and have logged three sessions, with same duration for each session but the Flex gives me a different number of calories burned for each session: 370 for the first session and 114 and 112 calories for the next two sessions.  How can that be?  All the sessions are about the same intensity.  I have no idea how many calories I burn in yoga so I hoped the Flex would give me some info on this but what I get doesn't seem reliable at all.

- the list of activities at left on the dashboard shows only three activites, the first three I logged; why not the most recent ones?

- on the more detailed screen for activities some activities have a "view details" button but others do not (one logged yoga sessions has such a button but the other two do not) yet I logged the three activities exactly the same way.

@jym46 I'll be happy to answer your inquiries Smiley Happy Well, every time you're going to do Yoga I don't think you burn the same amount of calories burned because you're using your tracker and you're letting it calculating your stats. When you manually log Yoga in your Dashboard it will let you put the amount of calories burned that you want, so if you want to have the same amount of calories burned you can manually log them.

The reason why you're not getting the view details in all the activities that you have logged it's because the activities that you tracked using your Fitbit app will have this feature just the ones you track using your app. The ones that you tracked using your Fitbit tracker will show a little stop watch and "edit, delete" options. Note: Edit option it's used just to edit the start and end time.

@SilviaFitbitThank you for your reply.  I do have another question.  Yesterday my Flex logged more than 15,000 steps which I doubt.  I did work 5 hours in the yard, raking and cutting tall grasses with pruning shears.  Could  it be that the Flex was counting each cut with the pruning shear as a step?

@jym46 The steps that you got could be because of the activity that you were doing, in order to improve the accuracy of the steps that you're getting you should change the hand setting check this article. Also, we recommend to log activities that require more than just steps in your Dashboard in order to improve the accuracy of this activity's contribution to your caloric burn check this post to know how to do it.
