Sudden increase in RHR?

Hi everyone! I have recently experienced a sharp increase in RHR and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this? It has me a little concerned.

I have always experienced normal fluctuation of heart rate, with my RHR usually landing between 58 and 64. However, since February 26, my RHR has gone from 59 to 70. I have not had a RHR in the 70s in more than a year. I keep checking it now (probably making it worse, lol) and when I am doing things like sitting at the computer at work, I am running in the high 70s and low 80s when before I would sit in the 60s for most of the day.

Is this something to be worried about? I left a message for my doctor yesterday but haven't heard back from her office yet. My blood pressure was on the low end of normal when it was checked at a routine visit last month, and I had two ECGs done last year for unrelated issues that showed no problems.

Thank you for any advice or insight!

Hi @PrincessCardia There can be many reasons for an increase in your RHR. The best advice is to talk to your doctor. There are a lot of very smart and helpful people on the forum, but for something like this you really need to consult with a medical professional. Hopefully it turns to be nothing but a cold or environmental change that has increased your RHR, but always better to error on the safe side.
